Site Characterization & Assessment

Site characterization is critical to defining the nature and extent of site contamination, which in turn leads to the appropriate site designation under state (e.g., MTCA) or federal regulations (e.g. CERCLA, RCRA, etc.). Robinson Noble offers a comprehensive array of environmental services required to complete this characterization efficiently and successfully. These include surface and subsurface environmental investigation capabilities designed to evaluate the nature and extent of site contamination. The breadth of these evaluations ranges from limited soil investigations using direct-push drilling techniques to complex Remedial Investigations (RIs) using multiple investigative techniques to define and mitigate contaminant impacts to soil, sediment, groundwater, and surface water. Our project sites range in size from small building interiors to large brownfield redevelopments. We are also experienced in area-wide studies.

Robinson Noble environmental professionals have performed hundreds of Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESA's) on behalf of a wide variety of clients. These ESA's are performed in accordance with CERCLA All Appropriate Inquiry and ASTM E 1527-13 guidelines. Robinson Noble consistently produces high-quality, due diligence documents in support of projects to address soil, groundwater, surface water, or sediment concerns.
